Republican Candidate for House District 21
Governmental Experience: I was elected via write-in as a PCP in the 1990’s and in 2015 Margot and I were both appointed as PCP’s. We were officially elected to these positions in May's Primary.
On May 17th, 2011 I was elected to the Salem Area Mass Transit board. One of seven people with diverse backgrounds, ideologies, and personalities all working together for the good of the people of Salem/Keizer. I worked with a $45,000,000 (give or take) budget. I sat through the process twice and learned much about the give and take as each department stated their case for a piece of the pie.
During my tenure, we wrapped up the Courthouse Square fiasco. There were many opinions on what to do. We sifted through them all and came up with the best answer together.
